This week in R.E. we have be exploring the question: What does it mean if Christians
believe God is holy and loving? We've completed a range of activities including: circle times, debates, stained glass window designs and analysing parts of the Bible. As a result, we have gained an improved understanding of what 'loving' and 'holy' mean. Furthermore, we have been able to apply these meanings to Christianity and how Christians view God.

We discussed what mental health is and how it impacts people. We highlighted what can be done to improve our mental health and talked about what advice we can give to people who may struggle with mental health issues. As a result, we produced a poster with these pieces of advice on.
This week in science we used shadows to prove that the Earth is rotating and orbitng around the Sun. Throughout the day we recorded the length of the shadow and the direction it faced every hour, on the hour.
As a result, we were able to confirm that the Earth rotated and orbited around the Sun as the shadowed gradually moved from North-West to North-East. Furthermore, the length of the shadow was at its shortest at midday - proving that the Sun had reached its highest point. Below are a small selection of photos from the investigation. This week in science we focused on how the Moon orbits the Earth. Firstly, we had a great discussion (full of questions) about how the Moon orbits the Earth. Next, we named and drew diagrams of each phase of the Moon's lunar cycle. Finally, we confirmed our understanding of the topic by using models of the Moon to recreate it's orbit of the Earth.
