Our most recent writing has focused on the purpose of persuasion and we have worked incredibly hard to persuade anyone who picks up our books.
As well as learning about the different persuasive features that we could use, we have researched and developed our ideas about why we might need to leave Earth some day. When we combined our persuasive writing skills and our understanding of why humans might need to leave Earth some day, we create some very persuasive posters! It's important to reflect on what we've done though, so Kestrels spent additional time sharing their writing with other members of the class and peer assessing each other.

We recently finished our tag rugby sessions with Gloucester Rugby Football Club and we have enjoyed every moment of it! Not only have our rugby skills developed but so have our team work skills. Kestrels would like to give Gloucester Rugby a massive thank you and we look forward to seeing you again in the future.
Kestrels have change the layout of their classroom! Yes, you did read that correctly.
In order for us to feel more comfortable and freer with our learning we have now taken away some tables, added some cushions and gotten rid of our shoes (if we want to). These changes have been made so that each of us in Kestrels can decide: where we work, how we work and who we work with. The change has promoted a really positive vibe in the class and has made us each more of our own boss! We will be trailing this set up for a bit longer, however so far the first impressions have been great from everyone. Take a look below! |
