Kestrels have been working incredibly hard yet again this week! We've started a piece of persuasive writing, continued to develop our understanding of place value AND have gained a good comprehension of how day and night work in relation to the Earth's movement!
In addition, Kestrels have had a shared reading lesson with Year 2 and have participated in a session in the Life Education Van about friendship. On both of these occasions the children have shown a great understanding of caring for others and setting good examples.

This Friday saw the start of our 5 week tag rugby programme with Gloucester Rugby Football Club. Our first week focused on team work skills - the foundations of any team based game!
We played a range of team games, such as 'stuck in the mud' and transferred these skills over to passing drills in small groups. Kestrels and Owls displayed excellent levels of team work and hand-eye coordination. We are very lucky to have the rugby coaches come back to Queen Margaret Primary School for another year and look forward to the rest of our sessions with them. It has been a fantastic first week back at Queen Margaret Primary School for Kestrels. As well as getting settled back into the school routine we have hit the ground running. This week we have:
