This week we brought our ancient Greek vase designs to life with the help of Mrs Humphreys. Using different techniques and a range of utensils we were able to sculpt our clay to create brilliant vase designs. We will now wait for them to dry before applying black and gold paint to add the detail of patterns and the human figure.
During science this week, we got hands on with different materials and observed how their properties changed as we applied different factors, such as force and temperature. Below are a selection of pictures that show us making: a non-Newtonian fluid, a Polydoh mouldable plastic and slime! We had great fun and enjoyed getting practical with our science.
This year's World Book Day involved us being treated to a lovely puppet show and creating persuasive adverts for books that we have been reading recently.
We have been getting to grips with orally rehearsing our new model text for our persuasive letter unit in English. We have read and discussed key aspects of the text map and have recently been focusing on retelling it through small group performances. Below are a selection of photos.
