Today we put our computing skills to the test in numerous tasks on Minecraft. We used both simple and advanced computing skills to: build structures, make our way through worlds and solve problems. For these tasks we worked in both small and large teams, which really enabled us to display our teamwork skills and communication skills. We had excellent fun and were able to use a range of skills.

On Thursday 13th July we had our Theme Open Afternoon, during which we displayed the work that we have produced this term. The children have put a lot of ward work into their work this term and this was reflected in the watercolour flowers they produced in during the open afternoon.
We would like to give a massive thank you to the parents/guardians that came to share in our learning - it was lovely to have you there. It was a thoroughly enjoyable afternoon, with excellent artistic work produced by the children. During our PSHE lesson this week we discussed and acted various scenarios in which are feelings might alter as we grow. We sorted ourselves into small groups of 3 or 4 people and decided on the scenarios we would act and who would play each role within the groups. In addition, some groups created play scripts and others used props.
After some excellent effort and practice, eahc group performed their scenario; the remaining groups watched and payed close attention to the feelings involved and how the scenarios were resolved. We displayed a great understanding of how feelings change as we get older, especially when hormones cause change in our bodies. |
